For All You Do Mothers Day Class

All I can say is YAY kindergarten has finally after two weeks of school holidays, PD days for teachers and a public holiday returned to normal so I'm looking to get some serious stamping done! I've been doing a few custom classes of late for people, so if you see items you'd like to create or tools you'd like to learn to use or use with more proficiency, please give me a call!

The next class I am running was designed by the very talented Andrea Walford and is called For All You Do - after the gorgeous stamp set she used to create the items with, however in Australia we don't have that stamp set (pictured below), but not to be deterred I have recreated it using the new Cottage Garden & Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp sets from the new autumn/winter mini catalogue. Rest assured my redesigned one looks almost equally as stunning & as soon as I get another 5 mintues to organise myself and take some half decent photos I'll upload those as well.

Date: Thursday 29th April at 9.30am or Tuesday 4th may at 7.30pm
Duration: 2.5 hours
Cost: $20

All supplies are included in the cost as well as light refreshments.

Supplies
• Stamps: Cottage Garden & Teeny Tiny Sentiments
• Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Old Olive, Basic Black Classic inks
• Paper: Rich Razzleberry CS, Pale Plum CS, Old Olive CS, Whisper White CS, Cottage Wall DSP, Whisper White Envelopes
• Accessories: Snail adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, mini glue dots, Sticky Strip, Crystal Effects, Silver brads, Dazzling Diamond glitter, Button Latte, paper snips, Stampin’ Scrub, Stampin’ Mist, Bone Folder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Paper Piercing tool, Mat pack, Paper Cutter with scoring blade, Scallop Edge punch, Large Oval Punch, Pencil and ruler, Velcro pieces.

Of course if you would like to get together with friends and do this class at a different time/location, then that is fine too, just email or phone me and I'd be happy to accomodate. You can also see a full list of events & classes on my website at anytime.

Happy Stamping!

Punched bluebird

Well I've been creating lots of cards of late with the fabulous new two step bird punch - how gorgeous is that new punch design!!! There are so many versatile elements to the new punch that I have been neglecting some of my older ones, so tonight I pulled them out and CASE'd a card from Laurie Zoelimer (I wanted to make a card featuring a bluebird for a friend). I really loved the simplicity and cool sponged effect of making the clouds. Mine is a standard size A6 card and has the added words from the new level one hostess stamp set featured in the new autumn/winter mini catalogue (I really have to learn to take better photos don't I - or at least get them straight!). You can't see from the picture but the bird's body is raised up on Stampin Dimensionals, as is the scallop oval and the window word punch element.

Stamps: Picture This
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Apricot Appeal
Accessories: Circle scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop oval punch, word window punch, two step bird punch, stamping sponge, Stampin Dimensionals, SNAIL.

Have a terrific ANZAC long weekend & happy creating

Colour Renovation!

I have some BIG news to share with you today! Stampin' Up! have announced that with the arrival of our new Idea Book & Catalogue in September, we'll see a huge colour renovation. Some of the beautiful colours will be retiring, some retired “in” colours are returning and we’ll be getting five new colours all to be rationalizaed into four colour collections. Primarily the change is because colour trends change over time and the colour palette needed an update too. Extensive research went into this over the past two years. The second reason they are doing this is because customers and demonstrators asked for it! Some of the “in” colours have been so popular that many of us people have asked for them to be bought back, in some way. Now they have listened!

So what does this mean – well at the moment there are “in” colours, neutrals, bold brights, soft subtles, rich regals and earth elements so lots of colours and lots of confusion and some colours in the mixed packs well let’s face it they never get used! From the 1st of September the neutrals and “in” colours will be incorporated into the colour collections, so no more trying to figure out exactly where the “in” colours fit!

The colours that are retiring are below or you can click here to see a larger PDF of them. Now you might be like me and sad to see some of them go, but not to fear…you have LOADS of time to stock up on any or all of them before they are gone and once you see the new colours some of the disappointment will ease! All of these colours will be available until August 31st! If you already have an ink pad in one of these colours I would strongly encourage you to get the reinkers to match if you haven't already, or maybe a few packs of the papers that you love as once these colours are gone, they will not be returning.

Now onto the exciting new colours and the colour renovation of the colour families into colllections.....earth elements and neutrals have undergone such a huge revamp that they have vanished as entities in their own right, but have been incorporated into the reorganised collections. There will be 40 core colours in the collections rather than the original 48 in the colour families, but the new "in" colour program will make up the balance. The new core collections of colours are below or you can click here for a PDF of them.

There are also clanges to the "in" colour program, from the 1st of September we will get 5 new "in" colours and they will remain with us for TWO years instead of the previous ONE year. This means that we’ll have 5 new "in" colours in September 2010, which will be there until September 2012, in September 2011, we’ll get 5 more "in" colours that will also be with us for two years, so a total of 10 In Colours from September 2011 onwards. Add those in to your 40 Core Colours and there will be 50 colours total, more than enough to create soem wonderful projects.

If you have any questions or concerns about the new colour renovation, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to answer your questions. In the mean time I'm too busy playing with items from the new mini catalogue to be too sad about soem of the colours that are retiring as I'm already looking forward to some of the new ones coming!!

Happy stamping

Did you miss something on the last two mini catalogues?

Terrific news, a number of items have been carried over from the Spring 2009 and Summer 2010 mini catalogues and are still available for purchase! You can see the entire list here, but basically the scallop oval punch, that gorgeous butterfly punch, white Stazon & Stazon cleaner, jumbo brads in the neutrals and the 5/8" brads in the neutrals are all still available - how cool is that! I'll have some new stuff soon to show you, but Easter & now school holidays have put a dampener on my stamping time! Hope that you all had a wonderful break & happy stamping,
Ann
